Agra is one of the most important cities and tourist destinations in India. It is globally famous with magnificent Taj Mahal, Agra Red Fort, Itmad-Ud-Daullah Tomb and Fatehpur Sikri. This ancient and historically rich city is situated in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is situated on the bank of River Yamuna.

Taj Mahal:
Taj Mahal is one of the most popular tourist attractions in India and certainly the most popular in the state. It is the star attraction of India appealing tourists from all over the world. It is one of Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is the ultimate symbol of eternal love composed in precious white marble. This beautiful monument was built by great mughal emperor Shah Jahan in the loving memory of his most darling wife Mumtaz Mahal.
Agra Red Fort: Built in red sand stone this splendid fortress was built by great mughal emperor Akbar. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This architecturally beautiful fort complex has many buildings inside. Pearl Mosque, Diwan-E-Am, Diwan-E-Khas, Jahangiri Palace, Khas Mahal, Shish Mahal, Musamman Burj, etc are prime attractions inside the fort complex.

Imtmad-Ud-Daullah:
It is a beautiful tomb built by mughal empress Noorjahan in the memory of his father Mirza Ghiyas Beg. It is located on the left bank of Yamuna River. It is also called as the Baby Taj, Little Taj or Draft of Taj Mahal. Its interiors are more beautiful than of Taj Mahal.
Fatehpur Sikri:
It is situated at the distance of 35 km from the city of Agra. This ancient town was built by mughal emperor Akbar as his capital. But the city was abandoned soon due to the scarcity of drinking water. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, tombs, mosque, ruins of fort & palaces, etc are attractions of Fatehpur Sikri.

Sikandra Akbar’s Tomb, Swami Bagh Samadhi, Mankameshwar Temple, Jama Masjid, Chini Ka Rauza, Mariam’s Tomb, Mehtab Bagh, Keetham Lake, Rambagh, Dayal Bagh, etc.

By Rail:
The city of Agra lies on the Delhi to Mumbai board gauge railway line. It is well connected by rail networks from the cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.
By Road:
Agra is well connected by Delhi and major cities of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh by excellent bus service.
By Air:
Agra is well connected by domestic flights. It is connected by Delhi, Khajuraho and Varanasi well.
